We were honoured to be part of the Blue Ribbon Award Ceremony held on 26th June 2025 at the Press Club, organized by the Karunasai De-addiction and Mental Health Research Institute. The event aimed to recognize and appreciate organizations that have played a significant role in de-addiction efforts. The prestigious Blue Ribbon Award was presented to Team ‘Adarrt’ (Alcohol and Drug Addicts Research Rehabilitation and Treatment Centre) in acknowledgment of their impactful contributions.
Alongside the award presentation, an Anti-Drug Awareness Program was conducted, in which the students from the Department of Psychology, Saraswathi College of Arts and Science, made an outstanding contribution.
The event commenced with a soulful rendition of the Praarambha Geetham by our S4 students, Abhirami R S and Carmel Domenic, which set a thoughtful and inspiring tone for the day. A major highlight of the program was a powerful theme-based dance performance by our S3 and S4 students. Through expressive movements and compelling choreography, the performance conveyed a strong and clear message about the dangers of substance abuse and the value of choosing a healthy, drug-free life.
The audience responded with heartfelt appreciation, acknowledging the students’ creativity and commitment in spreading such an essential social message.
